Height of Rands or Metzger Windshield
Would someone post the height and width of either a Rands or Metzger Windshield on a 1909-10 Touring as well as each of the two parts of the windshield? Also, the height of the riser board above the firewall. Thanks alot

Re: Height of Rands or Metzger Windshield
My 1909 Touring has a "MEZGER" windscreen. The upper (folding) part of which, measures 41 1/4 inches in width, and 11 inches in height, The lower (non-folding) section measures 41 1/4 inches in width, and 16 3/4 inches in height. At it's widest point the wood riser board (It fits between the top of the dash, and the bottom of the screen), is 35 inches. Feel free to contact me if you require any other details. I hope this helps.

On the inside front-cover of the Jan/Feb 2020 issue of the Horseless Carriage Gazette there is a reprint in full-colour and in full-size, of an original advertisement, which extols the finer points of "Mezger" windscreens. It clearly shows how the hinge and support mechanism of these screens functions.

Re: Height of Rands or Metzger Windshield
Thank you John. So the overall height of the Metzger is 27 3/4" by 41 wide. How high is the riser?

Merger windshield measurements. The filler board was furnished by the windshield company and varied. I don’t have my car here, but as best I recall it is 4-5” tall.

Re: Height of Rands or Metzger Windshield
Yes, it's original to the car. My car was delivered with both the rands and a roll up windshield.
