Need to straighten the headlight on a 24 coupe
Anyone out there have experience adjusting the headlights on a 24 T Coupe? Looks like the bar that holds the light through the fender and attached to the frame. Is there a tool or something that can adjust one light up and back about 1 inch. Thanks for any ideas.

Laird, I haven't actually tried it, but I would think good sized pipe wrench, maybe 18", turned sideways would work. Of course, you would need to cushion the jaws with something so they wouldn't mar the post, maybe some hardwood strips, thick leather, or? I would try bending them cold, I don't think they would be too difficult to bend. Just a thought. Dave

The HM 7R shown in this post is what was used back in the day. The post is about bending pedals but show the irons used.

As Dave said a good sized pipe wrench with a rag between the jaws and I would add a 2 ft cheater pipe on the end of the wrench will get the headlight to move.
I have some headlights that have the ‘marks’ of adjustment on them way back when with a pipe wrench without a rag or something. Others probably do to.

I have used a pipe clamp & vise to straighten things out. Leaves no marks and a long bar gives you plenty of leverage to move things as much or as little as you go.
