Universal joint pin length

I was attempting to install the universal joint on the drive shaft. The pins I have are 1 11/32" and the universal joint is 1 3/8", so they are too short to peen them. Is my universal joint too wide or are the pins too short? What length should they be?

Don't have one handy to measure, but Lang's has them for $0.25

I think the ones I have are from Langs and that is part of why I am confused.

Dave, maybe make your own pin? Is your u-joint Ford script or aftermarket? I'm sure if you do a bit of research, you can find what is needed. JMHO Dave

Like several other applications on the T that pin is made from an odd size wire gauge that is not readily available.

Measures .275” x 1.5”
Odd size dia. Close to 9/32” but tad less, and Parts Books list it as 1.5” length but error on dia., as given to be 3/32” but that is clearly wrong
