Re: Aluminum doors...any idea what car they go on?
Bruce once told me that the Fordor had aluminum doors. But I annoyed him when I pointed out that the doors on my 24 coupe are aluminum. He of course had a response that someone had changed them. Quite honestly I think he was wrong. I can see one being changed due to an accident but not both.
A friend has a Fordor and all four doors are steel (magnetic) so not all Fordors used aluminum door. I would hazard a guess that some doors on the closed cars were built of aluminum during 1924-25.
I believe the front door on the coupe are identical to the front doors on the Fordor.

Having had two 1926 fordors, I don't think any 26-27 fordors were built with aluminum doors. I have seen and heard of plenty of fordors in the 23-24 era that did.

Re: Aluminum doors...any idea what car they go on?
Aluminum doors (and other aluminum body panels) were used on 1923 Fordors. I have been told that some aluminum parts may have dribbled over into the 1924 model year. I believe it was a weight-reduction measure that turned out not to be of much advantage.
The inevitable often happens.

My march 1924 Fordor has aluminum doors as well as the upper rear panel.
