I'm sure this has already been covered, but I searched and can't find it. I'm changing the grease in the rear of my TT and I'm assuming its the same 600W stuff as used in the car. Does anybody have a guess on how much? Is it more than the car rear end? If I order 2 quarts from Langs, will that be enough?

Second related question. I've got a Muncie auxiliary transmission. What lubrication should that have? The 600W stuff seems like it would be too heavy for that but maybe not. ATF? 10W40?

A Muncie is a old school 3 speed crashbox... it takes old school transmission oil, something like 90W. 10W40 is too thin, and ATF is about 10x too thin...

I use GL4 140w in my Muncies and Ruckstells, GL4 doesn't have a lot of sulfur that can damage bronze bushings.

Modern oils are different to original. I use 140W gear oil in my Ruckstell and aux box. They must be 'non-EP additive' oils. Those additives erode the bronze - especially when just sitting between uses.
