Now that we have a new Forum format it makes sense to have A thread to post all of the OLD PHOTOS members here want to share. So if you are going to post old photos doing it on this thread will help to unclutter the message board list and keep ALL the Old Photos in one place.

Can the new forum software allow a separate section for photos?

That would allow separating up pictures, like one thread for TTs , one for cars, one for New Zealand Ts

etc.

I can see this becoming a great resource over time.

I think the problem with posting a years worth of photos here is two fold.
1) the size of a single thread would be unusable to many
2) people will stop having conversations about a single photo (maybe that is the intent of this thread request)

I'm with Vern, not to easy to talk about the photo. I LOVE the old photos. If they want to split them up, it should be in a category similar to classified.

The problem with having numerous separate categories, it ends up that some of the other categories are seldom visited. Some will go for days before anyone posts on them. An example of this is the AACA forum.

I’m for keeping it simple and uncluttered with unnecessary categories.

Jay, I love these old photos, where ever they are! I especially like it when the "then" and "now" pics are posted. I can't figure out how they get the "now" pics.

This thread format doesn't lend itself to the "then" and "now" pictures unless you re-copy the "then" and start a new thread. Same thing with discussing an original/old Model T photo in the string. Great pictures!

I worked with a fella and have known him for 30 years that grew up is Tracy. He personally knew a song writer that wrote a bunch of hits in the early 80's but per usual, I sure as heck can't think of the fellows name. Oh yes! Dennis Morgan. His first 1978 song sleeping single in a double bed netted Barbara Mandrell a number 1 hit.

The only problem with a dedicated thread is as the tread gets so long you have to scroll through it all to see the newest pics, like the kalamity Dick thread

That is the reason that I hope that Chris will eventually decide to chop up long threads into multiple pages like Royce's site does. If you want to go to the end of a thread, just select the last page and scroll a short distance to the bottom of that page.

You are right in that Doug. I guess I was thinking about other forums where after so many
postings it starts another page. That way you can turn pages rather than scroll.
