How do you remove the hub cotter keys? The keys rear and front they seem way down inside the hubs

On Rudge spline drive hubs, there is usually a small hole in the side, sometimes covered with a small screw.

These are 6 pin drive 30x3.5 there is no hole or screw in the hub

The Buffalo hubs have the same condition...
Use a little tool, and a lotta patience!

Add a 1/4" diameter thru hole in the hub that lines up with the keyway and the cotter pin hole in the axle. The added hole won't weaken the hub. Or do as Kevin suggested and just live with it. Needle nose pliers are your friend.
