Speedometer Cable question
If you use modern speedometer cable inside the flexible brass housing, do you need a sleeve of some type over the cable to protect the brass??

Re: Speedometer Cable question
Tom, on a car I have since sold, I fitted both the outer case and inner cable of a modern car inside the original housing.

Yes you in need the inner sleeve. The kits sold by the dealers come with it.tom_strickling wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 1:05 pmIf you use modern speedometer cable inside the flexible brass housing, do you need a sleeve of some type over the cable to protect the brass??

Re: Speedometer Cable question
Thanks, does anyone have a Stewart 5 foot cable they will sell. Lang's has them back ordered. Or can I just order the Stewart ends and make up my own? How?
