My dad and I used to say to each other: “your just trying to talk yourself into something” even when we know better.

I want to bring my new IKEA ‘27 home. Especially the chassis so I can get started.
(The previous owner and my good friend developed dementia and is in a memory unit)

You can’t really see it in the picture but he didn’t attach the radius rods when he put the torque tube on, didn’t connect one side of the rear spring and didn’t connect the wishbone to the pan.

I really just want to bring it home and do the work at my house, and after all it is only a few blocks and I have a trailer.............

Looks like a good start. You have going to have to pull the rear end or engine anyway to install that transmission. So you can install the missing bolts etc at that time. When you install the transmission, did you get the rear support for it? I would not recommend just hanging it off the back.

If the crankcase is connected to the frame, it would appear that all you have to do is support the torque tube and then put it on the trailer. Block the wheels on the trailer and drive slow. Then you can work on the car to your hearts content.
