24 Touring Vertical Wood Slats

I'm wrapping up replacing the rotten and/or missing wood in my 24 Touring and I've come to the vertical wood slats at the back of the rear "tub".

These are the ones that the rear backrest seat spring will lay against.

My question: how are they secured at the top and bottom? I see four holes down low on a structural piece that look likey they're factory-drilled. I'm assuming that means there were four slats. I have no idea how they're secured at the top of the tub.

Don, The '23 touring I bought last year that was in pieces has that piece, I will go out in the barn & look in a little bit, do you have samples of the 4 armrest segments for the front & rear? I have the 4 metal end caps. The wood I have for this car is near perfect, I would like to get it duplicated just to have the patterns. Is there a similar part for the front seat back?

Thanks George.

- I do have the 4 armrests in my car. They're reproductions, but they're excellent. I don't have the little metal end caps.

- I honsestly don't know about vertical slats for the front seat back. I'm hoping someone here will chime in.

Don, Sorry I did not check the slats today, spent most of the day chasing a phantom ABS problem on my father in laws 2012 Impala. tomorrow all the E brake cables. I did get the 4 little end caps for the '23 arm rest, pricy little devils', are the arm rest you have from Ford Wood ? George

IF they're similar to the Runabouts, this 24 still has remains of the slats and both top & bottom hangers.
I just don't know if there are similarities plus we could have different branded body work.
Holler if I can help. :)

Don, when I was working on my T, the rear slats were screwed in at the top of the tub, and supported the tub's sheet steel via curved spacers as shown in the picture. The bottom looks to have been screwed in as well. I have know idea if this is correct, but I know I was the second person "in there" since the car was new.

I hope this helps,
Joshua

Don, Joshua, I just looked at my 1923 rear vertical board it has screw holes top & bottom, no screws currently present at the bottom & at the bottom the vertical boards are cut into a wedge with the lower screw holes in the wedge. At the top the screws are round head slots, about an 1 1/8th long. The large wedges that are in Joshua (3) on my board there is only 1 & it is screwed to the center vertical slat about midway there are none on the other 2 & no wear mark is shown on the back side of the other 2 vertical slats. I have to learn how to do photos on here, I have a flip phone only & a separate digital camera. George

Thanks Joshua and George.

I'm formulating a plan based on what yall have shown and described. This is all going to be covered up, so I'm thinking a hybrid approach might be best.
