Re: Fender bender
There are more bent parts than just the fenders! However, thee might be a few good parts there which, if it happened these days, would be welcome such as the gas tank in the 26-27.

Tried to zoom in on the turn turtle speedster. Can't tell what mods to the motor.
But the opposite rear wheel is a wire spoke, other is wood spoke, look like '26-'27 large drum? So the rear wheels mis-matched. Front are accessory wires.
Speed....ah....the devil for those wild 20's kiddos

Wonder what the folks looked like inside with the flying glass in the center door! The glass went somewhere! But maybe the cars parts were piled up after the wreck? Kinda looks like it was staged that way with the people standing behind it. Makes you wonder.

Re: Fender bender
That 26-27 roadster looks to have a aftermarket rumble seat conversion, you can see the step plates on the rear fender. I'd kinda like to have that. Jim

Re: Fender bender
Intake on the left, and a downdraft to boot... (at first I thought the negative was reversed, as the oil fill lools to be on the left, but the steering column corrects that assumption)...
I also can't count the number of times I've seen (even in modern accidents) where wherever the driver was got plowed by a tree, a phone pole, a concrete abutment, etc... Not sure that, if the driver stayed with it, if (or how) he would have survived that one.

Re: Fender bender
I’ve been scratching my head over the partial engine shot too... sure looks like a spark plug and a port with a sharp vertical elbow on the left side...? This would suggest to me that we are looking at a SR Fronty...? Or maybe a Roof 8 valve...? Most likely an intake, and would not be surprised if we were looking at a copy of Ed Winfield’s 2 up 2 down high rise updraft intake...?
But then I stopped focusing in on the engine and noticed the lettering on top of the boat tail... “S•?” Could it be a proud display of the “S•R Fronty”???
