Date a Mercury body
Need help with dating this Mercury body. It’s on a 26 chassis, but I know it’s earlier than that.

1922. Date a Mercury body
Between #256 & #265 , the company started installing a side door. This in the summer of 1922, so yours is a very early production body, Bob. When the doors were added, there were several versions. The size and construction differed. This from info supplied by Jarvis Erickson years ago. He may have pinned down the serial number even more by now. Wonderful car Bob! Please share your address to me privately and when you will be away for an hour or two.
