Re: Different....
The guy needs to stick to building killer bicycles. He has built a fantastic replica penny-farthing and a forkless bike that is amazing to see.

Re: Different....
Me thinks it is a Photoshop creation. I have seen the same one in red elsewhere.

Re: Different....
No, it's real... the guy takes old european iron and modifies it. Kind of like a chopper builder. He uses VW's and old Citrôens and Trabi's and whatever else he can grab. This is his second "creation" based around a T - the first (which was red) is a touring body. (You can see the vents for the VW motor in the rear side panels of that one)...

Re: Different....
Yep, that's the one. Wonder how well that things stops on 2 wheel brakes and 30x3 1/2's - it looks like a fairly heavy beast...
Considering that VW Transporters are about as collectable as T's nowadays, he has the rare ability to piss off 2 different groups of vehicle collectors at the same time!
Actually, I think his stuff is impractical as hell... but amazing, in a sort of Orange County Choppers sort of way.

...and his brass horn is upside down and the driver can’t reach the carbide generator. What a waste..
I don’t know why I turned out this way. My parents were decent people.

I remember T Buckets at Rod Shows with chrome plated, dual oil tail lights mounted upside down.

Re: Different....
So....Darel; when the “bell up” horn gets filled with rainwater, does it have to be removed and emptied ?

Re: Different....
Both of you are right, in a way.
Tripple twist horns are bell up.
Latter horns, like on 13 and 14's are bell down.

Sorry, but these don't appear to be real. Has anyone seen these in person?

No "T Style" door fits that good - custom or otherwise.

In the comments of this blog someone asked if these are real and the owner of the blog states that these are "CGI" (computer generated imagry):

If it had been the guy I thought, from Finland, here's a video of his home-built penny farthing bicycle.

I have one with a 52" front wheel.

Re: Different....
Another clue: The rear wheels are cambered in quite a lot like the ones on the back of a VW bus. The T axle would have the wheels straight up and down.

Re: Different....
I would think that a hybrid of a WV bus and a Model T would be the worst thing to be behind if you were you were in a hurry...

Re: Different....
Thanks everyone. I saw quite a few issues with the red one. If the black one is CG they did a much better job of that one. These days, sometimes you have to study a photo real close......
