What Is This Part?

I got this with some other speedometer parts but have not figured out what it is. I have looked through Russ Furstnow's speedometer book but did not find it.

(Sorry that the first picture is upside down.)

Is it part of a clamp bracket for mounting a swivel at the wheel?

Most, if not all Stewart speedometer parts had their script imprinted from what I've seen & I'm pretty familiar with Stewart pieces - Russ F. will be able to identify IF it's a speedo piece.

It looks familiar to me, I am thinking it MIGHT be an early Model A King Pin locking bolt. They are different from the later ones (these early pieces are known as "AR" parts from the Ford replacement parts IDs)
BUT this is just a guess from fuzzy memories!

I think David is on the right track. Could be AA truck.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas! :shock:

Well some of us are "reformed" Model A guys, I still haven't dug out any books though to see if I guessed right. Too busy mudding & taping sheetrock in my living room. :D

Ah, there's the documentation needed. So it is "type 2" used in '29 until August--didn't realize it was used that late.
