Hi does anyone besides Mac's (18 front and back shackle only) sell a good Model T castle nut assortment set so that I don't have to go running to the hardware store 30 miles away or wait a week for mail-order? Thanks!

How many and what size castle nuts do you need Ignacio ? I’ve made it a point to collect and set aside T castle nuts over the years. Stop by on your next trip to SA...

Coming to the end of my 2 year rebuild I am familiar with the struggle to find castle nuts. I wound up ordering from McMaster Carr. They have multiple sizes. I wound up buying the bolts from them too and making a jig for drilling the cotter pin holes. Beware there are different types of castle nuts (where the castle part is formed on the nut) some are formed on the flat side of the nut and some on the peaks/pointy edges of the nuts. If you need allot of them like I did I found this to be economical.

Re: some are formed on the flat side of the nut
That would be a slotted hex.

Ignacio,
I started the makings of a 'helpful book' on Model T and kept getting side-tracked after having a hundred or so individual pages that never got around to being collated.
Here is a list of castellated nuts as used a T....sorry I never got around to quantity but there are prob a bunch who could offer up quantity from their heads.
The dimensions shown are from the Ford standards for castellated nuts. I'm just not sure what year for the standards I referenced but it was well before the Model A era and I've never gotten around to proving the info. Yeah, I know, they interchanged with flat bottom slots a bunch too, so who knows...
Have fun

Thank you for the list. My local True Value has castle nuts but often not in the thread pitch that a T uses, mostly coarse thread. As a result, I ordered from Lang's 5 of each common size 40 pieces is about $52 delivered to my house.

Hoping that 9/16 18 thread is the rear radius rod part that attaches to the drive shaft tube.
