I needed to remove my old head lamp sockets from the housings and found that the pictured 1/4" drive 1/2" deep socket fit perfect to drive it down with out damaging the head lamp shell.

I'm so glad you posted this. I found myself this morning wondering how to replace a damaged one on the T I'm rebuilding and remembered this post. Thank you for taking the time to post it.

Using some WD-40 to lube the socket really helps in removing the socket from the shell.
I then used a rubber hammer carefully to loosen it and simply pushed it out by hand.

It's rewarding to know this little tip help someone else. I had sprayed the socket housings the day prior with the PB blaster, as you can see mine were pretty rusty.
