I won't be bringing anything to sell, as I'm flying in from California. I just hope the VFW'S bar will be open during the day! It will be nice to see everybody. Most everything has been cancelled this year.

The response date for RSVP is not in concrete. We used that for an estimate on how many people are vending. Unless we get tapped out on space, people wont be turned away.

Richard,
If I were you I would attend Tuesday morning as that will be your best bet to see the most stuff.
I have not had any vendors say they would be here late.
Thank you and hope to see you at the meet

I’m planning on going to this swap meet, I’ve never been to one before. Cash is king but how prevalent are cards used as payment? Just curious.

Just about zero on credit/debit card transactions at small car swap meets. Only larger ones with commercial vendors who take such. Private sellers prefer cash. And, don’t count on the vendor to be a banker either!
Pretty frustrating for a seller to have a buyer give a reasonable , even if a bit low offer, only to have the seller accept, and then the buyer hands a $100 bill for payment on a $15 purchase and expects ready change in return.

Re: Luray Swap Meet, October 6-8 - What are you bringing to sell?
We are thinking about attending the swap meet in a few weeks. I buy and sell NOS ignition parts (dist caps, points, rotors, brushes etc) for most makes and model of cars and trucks from 1910 to 1960. We have parts all the way from Auburn to Willys I will not pull my vending trailer all the way to Luray (1268 miles) but would consider bringing parts for individuals who preorder. You may email me at tsvanmeet@gmail.com with your requests or that of a friend.

Greg, I have a Sept. 1916 block if you're interested. That would be a very early '17 block. It's pretty rusty but could probably be used. The price is right if you want it!

Re: Luray Swap Meet, October 6-8 - What are you bringing to sell?
Is there any intrest in a STAUDE Mak A Tractor. I have advertised it here before.
I can bring it to Luray but would like to NOT bring it home.

Re: Luray Swap Meet, October 6-8 - What are you bringing to sell?
We will be there for sure the way it looks now. I already have 6 orders for NOS ignition parts for people with cars other than model Ts. So if you or a friend need something like distributor caps, points, rotors or brushes for other makes and models, email me at tsvanmeet@gmail.com with those needs. We will not be vending but I will deliver those parts already spoken for.

Karen and I will be there with a bunch of T stuff, including a restored KW coil box with 4 good coils, rebuilt Bosch front plate distributor complete, nice Kingston 4-ball, early original brass floor trim w/screws, assortment of T shackles, nice 13/14 steering column. Look for our new red EZ-Up. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
Re: Luray Swap Meet, October 6-8 - What are you bringing to sell?
I believe these are Staude conversion wheels. They will need new bearings. I can deliver to Luray on Tuesday. Asking $450 for the pair.

Looks like I will be hunting for a 1911-18 straight spindle arm. I didn't notice the crack until after sandblasting this piece.

Re: Luray Swap Meet, October 6-8 - What are you bringing to sell?
The recent change in the "Hershey" car show dates/location gives me a little more flexibility and I plan to be there with a couple tables of brass stuff. Will have some lamps, literature, a few Model T things and an assortment of interesting early automobilia including some early spark plugs.

- Nice 23/25 Frame.
- 1915 and 1916 Blocks.
- Engine with an early 1916 Block and Alum. Transmission Cover.
- 1933 Ford Glove Box Radio.

Re: Luray Swap Meet, October 6-8 - What are you bringing to sell?
In addition to all my other stuff, I will have a few of my rewound lifetime field coils, so bring your core and save a pile of shipping $$$. Also early and late Watts style clutches, and all my new items including the special early manifold studs with shoulder, the new early 2 pc dash clips and hardware, and other items. My brother has decided to bring a bunch of original parts besides his floorboards, body, and top wood, so stop by; there will be plenty of good parts there.

Hi Richard,
Due to the logistics and the size of this meet we will not have our manned consignment table at this special event. We will consider it for our regular spring meet in May.
Thanks for asking
