Anybody knows Ross Benedict?

Post by dykker5502 » Tue Sep 01, 2020 3:22 pm

A guy called Ross Benedict have had ads in several groups on facebook for restored/rebuild B&J 66 headlamps for for example 1914 Model T.
The price is as it is, but before I deal with this guy I just want to do a sanity check on how he is do deal with - if anybody knows him.

Thanks in advance.

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

You can't go by the "Joined" date listed by the name because everyone Joined in 2019 when the format changed.

Ross has been around a long time

A # 1, good Canadian friend. Deal with in confidence. It’s me you better worry about.

Thanks guys. I was dealing with him about a pair of "66" headlamps for my 1914 Model T and with shipping and all the pricetag ends up in 900+ USD, so I asume it's OK that I do a little background check.
The chat I had gave an impression of Ross that fits what you write above.
And Ross, if you see this I hope you understand.

I've known Ross personally for 7-8 years now and agree with the others. Ross is a good guy to deal with. You should not have any problems with Ross.

Oops, Sorry... I forgot about that. His earliest post to the Old Forum that is still Google live, goes back to 2008

He was over my house last week helping me fix a cowl light hinge on our Coupelet.

The "66" lamps you see are rebuild for electric light, and I actually want to keep both options at the same time so the two sets of lamps are interchangable.
