The old Pate swap meet at the museum was wonderful. When they moved it to TMS the magic was gone. I went a few times, but finally gave it up.

Well, since they started a "Pre-war" area a couple years ago, it started to get better, attracting those vendors to a specific area. Other wise, you had a whole lot of walking to do,( unless you bring a ATV or scooter to ride), while looking at post-war and late model stuff.

It's beyond me why, at this point in time, this would be cancelled. Things will never change and get back to normal until people stop being sheeple.

I'm putting odds that it will either be worse, the same, or better by November. The one thing that is painfully obvious is it won't just magically "go away", regardless of whether people hide from it or go out playing dare-me-do or "nyaa nyaa it can't catch me". Nor will it magically vanish after whoever wins the upcoming election.

Also remember - Corona is like a honey badger. You can be liberal or conservative, or even a Chevy person (e-w-w-w... nasty), Corona virus don't care... Corona virus don't give a sh... ucks.

I made the Pate at the museum near Cresson for many years. Remember years when it rained so much, nearby farmers and ranchers brought in their tractors to pull vendors out on the last day. Those were the days when it was mainly pre-war.

Yep, in those days I was peddling my reproduction antique signs, and even when it rained I always did well at Pate.

Come to Luray!! October 6-8. The venue is gorgeous with lush green fields, mountain views, and wonderful people. The deals are also great for both buyers and sellers. You wont be disappointed.
