White Firestone Tires

It seems to evident looking at original photos that the tires on the early Ts were not really white, and Gail Rodda indicates in "The 1909 Production Model T" that the tires were gray. I was pleasantly surprised when I received my White Firestone Tires from Coker the other day that they are actually a bit gray and not the bright white that I expected to see. I am attaching a photo, but the color in the photo does not actually show the color that well, they are actually a bit grayer than shown.

I am curious to know if anyone else has had this experience in the past? Maybe they are finally trying to get the color more like the original? Like to hear from others about this. Thanks

The old PJA Pneumatics were light grey. I still have a set on the shelf but given their age am afraid to use them.

Still hoping to hear from someone who has recently purchased White smooth Firestones and what they found for the color or anyone who has input on the tire color. Thanks
