It looks a little like a REO to me. 1907?
any better guesses?

Looks like a friction drive. I'm not sure how many cars had that. I know that many high wheeler's used that type of drive. Metz did also. Must be the body in the background. Nice photo.

Hi John. Here is the chassis layout.

Under the hood are the radiator, the water tank and the gas tank. The tanks are filled through a door in the top of the hood. The filler neck mounted on the hood is a dummy for looks. It's a great place to store matches for lighting the headlights.

These are new tanks for a 1908 Gentleman's Roadster but pretty much the same.

Thanks Rich, It looks like it has a transmission similar to the model t. Maybe more like the model n.

Thanks Dale. I have been fascinated ever since my friend Joe got his basket case of a 1908. I believe you made some much needed parts for him. Maybe some in the above picture.
