1927 TT Closed Cab Questions

Post by Alex Dragone » Sat Oct 03, 2020 3:49 pm

I am restoring a 27 TT closed Cab truck and I have a few questions. I am currently fixing a few of the panels on the truck, does anyone have a photo of under the seat? The previous owner replaced the door that goes over the gas tank with plywood so I'd like to see what the original door looked like. Also, under the cab a couple of the panels are rotted. Can someone please show a photo of under the rear/side of the cab so I can see what the underside panels are supposed to look like? I also would like to know if originally Ford had put upholstered panels on the inside of the cab? Any help and any photos would be very much appreciated! Thanks so much! - Alex

I also would like to see what a TT seat looks like. My Two closed cabs both show a hinge riveted to the back of the cab and to a wood beveled piece. What does the rest of the wood look like?

The back of my cabs show something was attached just above the wood seat .

Brad, thanks for the reply. I will give you a call tomorrow (Monday). And yes I would very much like to see some photos under the seat in someone’s closed cab. Also photos of the underside of the cab around the gas tank to see what the panels look like. Thanks! Anyone else?
