Running board accessories

Post by mcenhillk » Thu Feb 21, 2019 7:54 pm

There is a '14 Touring in the classifieds right now that has some accessories on the driver's side running board. The front item seems to be a carbide generator but the three canisters behind that are a mystery. I think I have seen them on a couple of cars with no mention to what they are. Are they toolboxes? Early forms of Lunchables? REALLY big sardine cans? Just curious.

Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin,

Those are Boyco running board cans. One for gas, one for water, and one for oil.

Thanks! Now that I have a name, I can find them everywhere. What's that phrase again? Knowing is half the something or other?

Aptly called "Service Units".
