Engine rebuild kudos Jack Putnam

On Labor Day the engine in my 1912 Model T touring froze up. I took the engine to Jack Putnam in Bluffton, Ohio. The engine was back in six weeks. A previous rebuilder had failed to hone the wrist pins in the aluminium pistons (covered in earlier fora). The rebuild was extensive as the engine had been run for most of its 100+ life, essentially all component parts replaced, a break in the casting where the fan bolts goes through was brazed, and myriad other delicate repairs made with great precision. I am forever in debt to Mr. Putnam for saving the engine. When someone does excellent work it is appropriate to recognise the effort. Any in need of a serious engine rebuild will benefit from Mr. Putnam's care and attention to detail.
Oh yes, Mr. Putnam's advice on breaking in the engine was followed to the letter, the engine runs like a champ, and so quiet and smooth it is almost difficult to remember it is a Model T.
