Everbright Protectaclear on Radiator

Post by PAdey » Fri Feb 22, 2019 4:50 pm

I have read several threads over the years claiming how great the Everbright Protectaclear coating is on brass if the proper preparation is followed. I have not seen feedback on the durability of the product on the radiator. Has anyone tried this coating on their brass radiator? A bit nervous about how it may perform with the heat of the radiator.

Did you check the other thread about brass radiator. Any coating on brass will eventually fail. Professional types will last much longer like on your high $$$$ door knobs.

When I cleared my brass with the product, I contacted the company and found the upper temperature range of the coating to be more than adequate. But I chose to not coat the radiator because I drive my cars and the brass radiators are bound to require work. I didnt want to have to strip the coating so I left the radiator bare.
