Transistorized ignition and magneto wire

My 26 tourer has transistorized ignition and no flywheel magnets. I have just reinstalled the motor. I cannot remember if the old magneto terminal post wire was hanging exposed loose, isolated with tape or bonded to the chassis. I doubt that is was attached to the magneto post.

The engine runs with the old wire not connected to anything.

I am now installing a new wiring harness and would like to know where to connect the red wire that normally goes to the magneto post. It is connected to terminal post 5.

Thanks, Richard

Cut off any wire end, fold it up, and tape to harness so it is insulated from everything else. Then go for a ride.
