I was very sad to see that Herm Kohnke passed away this April. Does anyone know if the business has continued to operate? I need a set of rods checked out and straightened. Herm has done wonderful work for me in the past when others had said the the same rods were "fine". Loss of such fine craftsmen impart a slow but steady degradation to our hobby.

I believe I heard that his son was going to take it over. Give them a call. Let us know what you find out.

And from early posting https://mtfca.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... ke#p115846
This is John Kohnke with Kohnke Rebabbitting Service, son of Herman Kohnke. I am working 24/7 getting jobs finished up that dad had here before he passed last April 2020. After I am done catching up with jobs, I will be taking new work. I was raised in the machine shop restoring Model T's, A's, and many other makes and models. I also have been self employed for over 3 decades restoring cars including body, paint, and upholstery. I am a perfectionist {like my dad}, and will not take on any jobs unless it is rebuilt 100%, skipping no corners. KohnkeRebabbitting Service.com has a new phone # 515-368-4039. TY you all, and I will be posting current work after I get caught up.
