Is This what I think it is? Early rear crossmember

Here are some pictures of what I think is an NOS early rear cross member. It was in a lot of parts I got the other day that were gotten from Ford dealers in the 50's. I show a picture of another later member for comparison. Could it be used to make a later frame into an early frame? Dan

Dan from my understanding the rails on the later frame are shorter due to the way the later crossmember is riveted to the rails. The earlier frame rails are longer. Don’t ask me how I know🙄 I’ve seen some guys cut off the ears on a later frame and cobble up a frame that looked early. Great find though! I have a spare that was found in a metal wrecking yard that a guy was cutting up the entire frame. Only the rear crossmember was saved. I don’t think the guy knew what he was cutting up.
