Body to Frame Bolts

Almost from my start, 60 years ago I've been interested in the correct bolts used on the Model T's I've owned. I assembled a 1925 pickup about ten years ago from scratch, and I guess 98% of the bolts I used for that car are original factory bolts. Once you learn them, they aren't hard to spot. Lately, I've been working on some earlier cars, 13-15 and have noticed they are 7/16-20 with an 11/16 head on both the bolt and the castle nut. Those sizes are not standard any more, and I'm wondering how many years they used them until they went to the standard sizes with a 5/8 head. I've checked Bruce's master parts list, and there is little information. Randall Anderson is the only person I know of that is knowledgeable on the subject. A few years ago, I realized I had installed an incorrect rear body bolt on my '13 touring way back when I was a teenager with a 5/8 head. I had Don Skille make me a correct one from a larger grade 5 bolt. I'm sure most of you probably think I'm crazy being this way, but I can't help it!

you can buy the castle nuts 11/16 but you have to make the thick head bolts Henry used 11/16 thru out production by my research
