Where was it built?

I've seen all kinds of records For Model Ts but I've never seen any way of determining which plant a specific serial number car came from. Is there any way to track this? I'm talking later cars not early brass ones.

On my '27 Fordor Sedan, just inside the bottom ledge under the left front door, stamped in the wood in about 1 inch letters, it has "HP#####". The # marks are production numbers for this body.
The HP proves that this body was built at the Highland Park plant, but just this body. The final assembly plant could be somewhere else.
I was at a private museum with another '27 Fordor on display and discussed this with the owner. We checked the body on his car and it started with "KC", meaning that body was made at the Kansas City plant.
This topic was brought up on the old Forum several years ago by Hap Tucker, and several examples were given in that thread.
Beyond this, I know of no way to determine which plant a specific serial number car came from.
