Lost T & Trailer tracking

Post by Dan Hatch » Wed Nov 04, 2020 6:55 pm

Just found this and thought I would bring it up here for you guys. I have no connection with it, just thought it needed looking into.
I see that has to work by your item has to come close to someone that has the app in their phone then you get a notice where your item is.
What do you think? Dan

"XYFindit" uses Bluetooth technology with a maximum range of 100- 150ft. Most cell phones, tablets, laptops, or computers sold today are Bluetooth enabled. Wireless speakers use Bluetooth technology.
Interesting that they say "The XYFindit works were normal GPS trackers fail to work. It uses crowd GPS tracking that’s capable of locating even the hardest to find items. This means that every XYFindit user on the planet is helping to get your lost item back, and we have more than 1 million users all over the world!" well its a big world so, using to track your auto in case of theft - I'll pass. 5yr shelf-life replaceable battery

Here are some reviews - most say no instructions are included when the received the device. One buyer said he waited for his order for over 40 days - it got lost in the mail  scam

If you are within a couple hundred feet of a
“ missing trailer “ then you should know where it is 🧐

Avoid Loss ☝️

If you are staying at a motel - park your rig up
against an obstacle & disable your vehicle.

Allow enough room to back up a little in the
morning if someone parks in front of you.

Last night - Motel 6 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana

Also never park in the first or last parking place on a street corner in a big city with any vehicle. Its an undocumented tow-a-way zone for independent auto-part suppliers.
