November 11th, Veterans' Day in the United States, is also Remembrance Day in the countries of the Commonwealth. At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the guns of World War I fell silent.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."

My grandmother's brother, Private George M. Briden, died April 10, 1917 of wounds suffered at Vimy Ridge.
