So im just about finished with the differential and drive shaft but i was wondering what do yall use for grease for the bearings and such. I was wondering because i have seem to run out pf grease and is there any dpecific one that is best for the bearings on the model t?

I asked a similar question earlier this year and this was the most common response for the differential, 600w rear axle grease from T suppliers, like Lang’s:

Darin...re the driveshaft bushing and the U. Joint...the "red tacky" stuff is the best. If at all possible, PACK that U.J. ball full of it, and I use the dreaded grease cup with the zerk in it to make sure I keep plenty of grease in it every time I change the oil. Last thing I wanna do is have to break the drive train apart to change a failed U Joint. Tons of grease will surely prevent that. Far as I know, the red stuff doesn't have Molybdenum and other crap that can cause problems with electrical conductivity and mess with the mag as others have mentioned, should any get into the crankcase. So far I've not seen any indication of that happening anyway.

I use 90w gear lube, and molybdenum/lithium grease.

No leaks/noises/explosions/catastrophic failures.

No auto topic on earth is talked about more than oil and lubricants. It's like the Ford/Chevy thing. There is no correct answer.

Darin...BTW...I use the same "Red-n-Tacky" grease on the bearings too! Guess I shoulda read your post more thoroughly!!
