Weaver auto ambulance question
I have a Weaver Auto Ambulance that is incomplete. It is missing the part on the top that looks like a dancing crab that is shown in this picture.
The one I have is in tough shape and I don't have that top part.
Thanks
Herb
Does any one have one to copy? Is that part necessary to use the device? I know there are a few of these around and used to know where there was at once upon a time, but have lost track of where it is by now.The one I have is in tough shape and I don't have that top part.
Thanks
Herb

Re: Weaver auto ambulance question
I have one, too, Herb. Mine’s in great shape but missing that part, also. I’m planning on having it in the bed of a tow truck project, and will likely make it out of wood. Can’t see anyone actually using the thing. Good luck on the search, that is half the fun.

Re: Weaver auto ambulance question
This is the one I have. Quite a bit different than the pic you posted.

Thanks for the input Tim. I would guess the there were various iterations of the Auto Ambulance because it either developed over time or there were different applications.

Re: Weaver auto ambulance question
Thanks John.
That is a good site.
The one I have is like the one in the first ad on the site: If you look closely mine might not need the need the attachment , it is not used in the photo. It might need a piece to clamp it to the front axle.
That is good news.
