These fellow model T'ers had their 1915 stolen.. they need help to find it... if you have seen it or their trailer ..

What part of the world was it stolen from?

Was stolen outside Golden Colorado

The question is were they after the Model T or the trailer? Thinking back to an earlier incident the suggestion to paint recognizable markings on the trailer roof comes to mind. I fly with our sheriff's volunteer Air unit and can tell you that roof markings really stand out. They don't guarantee recovery but at least they give law enforcement something to look for.

Around here they steal trailer to make meth lab.

What Dan said. The poor T is probably alongside some road in a ditch somewhere, they had to get rid
of it where no one could see what they're doing. They need the trailer for a few days/weeks for a meth lab.

Let's not confuse "need" with "want". No one NEEDS to make meth, just as I do
not NEED to bring slow and painful ends to people that do. I just WANT to !

Those headlights look like the very rare early 1915 larger size style.

That should make the T very easy to spot.

The headlamps are fork mounted. So, either a Canadian build, or not original for the car lamps. After considerable serious research in the past fifteen years by several of the model T's best researchers, it has been concluded that no 1915 style open model Ts of USA build had fork mounted headlamps. Numerous Canadian built cars did have them in 1915, and maybe some even later. Nearly all the original era photographs showing 1915s with fork mounted headlamps have been determined to have been or at least very likely Canadian production. Regardless, it is a nice '15 runabout and needs to be found and returned to whom it belongs!

The photos show the car somewhat apart and engine out? Are those pictures current, or is it more or less together?

I believe them pics are current and as-is condition.. its not a driver

Anyone with a trailer that is used to store a valuable car should go to Amazon and invest $68.00 in a trailer wheel lock. Anyone stealing something is in a hurry and anything that slows them down or make it overly difficult will be passed up over an easier mark. Jim Patrick

Jim...great idea also. Looks a bit awkward to work with, but probably worth the effort.

Still no leads on the 1915 Model T Roadster and Trailer that was stolen in the Golden, Colorado area at the beginning of Dec. 2020. The photos at the top of this thread are current. The engine, radiator and hood had been removed for repairs. The car could be easily identified by the ruckstell, inline later model overdrive and McLaren wire wheels. The car also had a 1915 Colorado license plate #1732. Someone could be trying to sell that plate on eBay or Craigslist. Please contact me with any leads.

I go along with Oldaviator - they probably wanted the trailer, or it was an "inside" job - someone who knew that the T was in it. Once in a while thieves are dumb enough to try to sell parts of whatever is in the trailer on ebay. Keep an eye on it. I hope that you get your stuff back. I hate thieves.

A month and a half after the original notice, is there an update? Was it ever recovered? Jim Patrick

PS. It is obvious a kill switch would not have helped in this situation, however, a portable GPS device hidden somewhere in the T would have helped in locating the T if it was dumped somewhere in the Colorado wilderness. Locating the GPS device in the trailer would have caught the perpetrators, whichever you feel is more important. A GPS in both trailer and T would have been best, but nobody ever thinks it will happen to them and until it happens, most would consider it an unnecessary expense. Tragic for the owners of the T.
