Ignition Switch wiring harness routing

1923 Roadster..My terminal block on the firewall is cracked, so I am going to replace it. The wiring harness from the ignition switch on mine is routed through the opening below the terminal block. Looking at several pictures, it appears that the harness should go through the opening above the terminal block. So, I was going to reroute mine until I was reading the electrical system book. On page 30, although just a sketch, they show the harness going through the opening below the terminal block. Is there a right, wrong, preference, consensus, or did the routing change over the years. Thanks..Tommy..

The T’s that have the large hole above the terminal block are the high radiator or high cowl cars.
If your your looking at the Ford service manual the high cowl or late 23 cars firewalls are shown and not the earlier or low cowl cars.
The low cowl cars have the hole below the terminal block.

If your car has a hole above the terminal block I expect it's a 1924 or 1925 model built after August 1, 1923. Confusion over the year of a Model T is very common. People often misremember what they're told.

Thanks for the responses. According to my engine s/n it is Sept. 1923. so it probably is a 1924 car. If that is correct, and I have the large hole above the terminal block, is that the opening I should use..Thanks again to all. Tried to post a picture, but it came out sideways.

Unless some one drilled another hole, then yes.
