Post by VFeditor_Aleesa » Thu Dec 31, 2020 1:07 pm

Would love to have some of your best digital photos of Mr. Jay Klehfoth to include in the Vintage Ford. Gotta send him off in style. Please email them to me at VFeditorMTFCA@yahoo.com. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Bob 👋

You & your wife helped me load the
Model T Produce Truck that day years ago
in New Jersey 😉

You both removed the demountable wheels
as I winched it into the trailer 👍

Aleesa, when I saw your original request I looked. If I had had a digital camera in 1997 when the National was held in St. Louis, I'd have had plenty of photos, but I didn't. The few I took in Richmond are blurry. Sorry. Will keep my eyes open.

Frank, the day that Jay took that video he had put in more than a full day of volunteering and work, too bad the video had shown the tiredness and stress from that day.

Jay's son Alex lives here in Helena, Montana. He has a facebook page and would be easy to contact, there are quite a few photos there.

To Honor Jay

Post by FreighTer Jim » Thu Jan 07, 2021 3:39 pm

If you want to honor Jay 💡

Re print some of his columns in The Vintage Ford.

His True Talent was with the pen & paper.

I looked forward to reading his reminisces of
days past - Jay had a way of taking you back
with him - you were sitting on his shoulder.

My wife wasn't into Model Ts too much, other than enjoying the Model T Tours, but whenever the Vintage Ford arrived, I seldom go to read it first, as she always looked for Jay's page to read and see what he had been doing of interest.
