I am having a new top and side curtains put on my 1911 Ford Touring. It does not have side curtains now but the wife wants them after getting a bit wet and cold on the Hershey hangover tour this past year. As this is not a show car and we plan to tour a lot, authenticity is not an issue. I plan to have the clear vinyl windows made much bigger than original to help seeing out. I am looking for pictures of 09-12 open front door cars with their side curtains on. Any suggestions and or pictures of how the curtains connect to the top in front and windshield would be very helpful. I have seen clips to the windshield but do not know any sources. Most interested in ways to make them keep us dry and maybe a bit warmer in wet and cold weather. Thanks for any help!

I have the patterns for my 12 touring if you give me your email address I can send them to you , they give you all the measurements you need I have made one side for my car .

You will have to add material if you don't have front doors Keith will have that info. I made the curtains and then fit them to the car using my cars original attaching points as they were different from the step side body. My plans were drawn from the original curtains by my Father. I have access to an all original late 1911/early 1912 with all the original murphy fasteners in their original locations. I could probably take detailed pictures with measurements. The car does have the fore-doors installed, but it also has the two-piece fire-wall. The fastener locations should be the same as the open-front cars. For those who remember, this is the car Phil Mino had for many years. Contact me if you're interested. Thanks so much for the information! Sorry it took a while to get back. Work getting in the way. I will call Langs about the clips as I did not see them on their website earlier today. Any help or additional pictures expecially the connection up around the windshield and top at the front would be helpful for my Amish guy who is going to do the work. He has done another 1911 T Top but not the side curtains. Trying to load pictures of my car too. My father bought it as basket case in the early 1950s and restored with the help of his father. Finished it up in 1955 and took it to Dearborn Michigan for the Old Car Fest and got a Blue ribbon which I still have. It was the first car I ever drove at age 13. It sat for many years other interests took its place. Dad never toured with car only driving it occasionally till it became hard to start due to end play in the crankshaft. He had the engine rebuilt about 15 years ago which was a disaster and it took several years to fix all the things the rebuilder screwed up. By then he was too old to enjoy it. I inherited it when he passed in 2015 and took it on the Ohio Model T Jamboree in 2016 and several others. Love driving it but need put on new top and side curtains along with getting some brake lights and turn signals put on. Colin, I also have 1912 McLaughlin Buick model 35 which is only one in the US. There is another one in a museum not too far from Winnipeg. 67 Pontiac I will try to give you a call in the next few days.

My 13 has no fasteners on the windshield but one on the firewall on each side and on the top. These are the only pictures I took after I put one side on that was under the rear seat of the car that had been parked since 1928. Someone has put black material in place of the clear on the front side window over the years back when these were in use.

The windshield clips Colin shows are no longer available from the vendors. I finally found some last year after a fair amount of searching. I was able to get the 8 I needed from the manufacturer, but that was the last of his inventory and he was unsure at that time about making more due to the difficulty of sourcing materials because of Covid.
