New Langs catalog came today

Post by DHort » Fri Jan 22, 2021 10:36 pm

It is almost as thick as a Sears catalog. Might need an extra one to put in the back yard shack.

I got mine yesterday, just the back cover. the rest is still somewhere in the post office. I will have to call Langs tomorrow and have them send me one, hopefully in one piece.

Leonard, you and I will have to get together. Mine came two days ago missing the back cover. Seems okay otherwise. :)

Mine came yesterday, also. In addition to it being thicker (so I assume there must be a lot of new items), it also still contains some items which the previous catalog listed, and when I tried to order them a YEAR ago, Ashley informed me they were no longer available. She stated the lone supplier had quit making them. If they have found a new supplier, or if the original suppiier has started making them, again, I don't know whether to be happy or mad. I've lost considerable hair over the item not being available and me having to find substitutes.

Did y’all request the 2021 catalog? Or was it a previous back ordered request which they finally were able to fill? I have one requested on back order... just curious if I need to send a new request or they’ll fulfill the one I made last year.

Thank you,
Darin

As Dave says, if they have you in their data base from a previous purchase they will send you one. At least they did for me. I didn't have to ask.

Seeing the several comments about the new catalogue being thicker, I checked. The 2019 and 2021 editions have exactly the same number of pages.

I'm getting back into the hobby and as a New Lang's customer I requested a catalog about 10 days ago...it(2021 edition) arrived yesterday!
I see what folks say about the catalog quality and thoroughness!

It's more than just a catalog now. With the Martynn Vowell illustrations and great photos it shows how many of the assemblies go together. The differences in parts for different years is better shown now I think. A good reference for any T owner.

I am happy to announce that our catalog arrived in New Orleans today though a little beat up. The postal system is so slow I think they should put the catalog on a barge and just float it down the Mississippi River. It will float right past the old Ford assembly plant and our garage space.

I put in a request for a new catalog a couple weeks ago, but still have not received one! I'm starting to think that maybe you have to order a part or something to get a catalog! Not that I see anything wrong with that though,....I'm sure that putting out a new catalog is a very time consuming and expensive deal, and why not just send one to folks that are actually buying parts, right? If that's the case, I have no problem with that, and I know Langs will honor orders that are ordered out of the old catalog anyway, right? I'll eventually be ordering something, and if nothing else, a guy can always order some "spares" that are necessary anyway, like spare light bulbs and stuff, and of course, there's always a tool that you've been "doing without" forever and now have an excuse to order "one of those", right?

No. The mail is still overwhelmed. Lange's are not waiting for you to order anything. I just received my tractor calendar sent from the east coast. Post marked 12/12/20. It's a mail thing, not a Lange thing.
