Folks.. Don't forget to put May 14 & 15 on your calendar so you can attend the Mid Atlantic Prewar Swap Meet in beautiful Luray, Virginia. If you did not attend our "One Time Only" Fall event, you missed a spectacular meet. We worked tirelessly to bring you a safe, socially-distant swap meet with an emphasis on keeping everyone healthy and comfortable. We intend to do it again in May. So visit www.mapwsm.com for all the details you need for registration, lodging, etc. See you in May, at Luray!

A Covid vaccination may be required to get on a plane, but not to attend the Luray meet! 😉 Anyone who's been there before knows that our meet is the definition of "open-air". And we set up the vendors with plenty of room to spare...

Furthermore, Dennis and the Shenandoah T Club guys will accommodate ever vendor's individual needs. There is a lot of good camaraderie. You can just feel the difference, and I am not referring to the weather, which is usually better also.
I suggest that you Midwestern guys consider going the extra distance. The only thing Chickasaw has going for it is its central location and its long tradition.
About 5 years ago, I drove 1500 miles in my camper with a trailer full of parts behind it only to get the cold shoulder when I inquired about setting up early. Suzie didn't give a hoot. I didn't know the buying and selling starts while waiting in line, before entering the field. And I ended up being very disappointed.
Unlike Chickasaw, Luray has a lot of local volunteers. It is done out of the love for the hobby rather than being profit driven. The VFW has food available all day at reasonable prices.
Try it. You won't be disappointed.

Revised version:
Furthermore, Dennis and the Shenandoah T Club guys will accommodate ever vendor's individual needs. They have a totally different attitude from the Chickasaw organizers. You can just feel the difference, and I am not referring to the weather, which is usually better also. There is also lots of good camaraderie.

We will be attending this year for the first time for two of the three of us traveling together. Motel reservations made, form sent to Dennis. We normally would attend the fun Marietta swap meet in March, but the venue has been shut down due to COVID concerns. It was a small building thus the concern. There is no doubt that this will be a growing event as time goes by. We are looking forward to attending!

Tom I believe Norm Bailely from crossroad A and T coorinated the Marienta meet, spread the word about luray event, may be some of those vendors like buckeye electric, and the many others will come to luray Dennis and crew do a great job.

Covid-19 kept me away from the Fall meet.

Since then, there has not been any report of anyone that got Covid-19 there.

Perhaps I can have a vaccination by then and atend this time.
