Motometer Glo-Light what size would it fit

Post by BillyBobsSpeedShop » Wed Jan 27, 2021 9:49 am

I recently acquired a motometer glo-light and am curious on what size motometer would this accessory fit. I would like to purchase a motometer and add to my T roadster build.

I measured between bolt holes and got an measurement of 2.55 between center holes. Measuring at a criss cross pattern. The overall outside diameter of the glo-meter is roughly around 2.88.

The two sizes I know of are the Junior and Senior. They are approx. 2 1/4" and 3" diameters. I would say your cover is for the Senior size.

Here is one mounted on a junior meter. The light unit is from the 1920s. The junior meter if from the 1950s and is a working meter. It is for sale for $108 post paid. I will list it in the for sale column if no one buys it from here.

Dang good deal. Wish I would have seen that one for sale before now.

Darel could you measure the bolt hole width and outside diameter.

Below is a link showing an original catalog for the motometers and it states the junior is 3 inch diameter?

That's good to know Bill. Some collectors are calling the Midget motometers Juniors now. It pays to be carefull.

This may help. The middle one is marked “junior”
