Fix your car, Mister ?
Inside the Albright Garage, Moscow, Idaho 1915. Doc Gritman's 1911 (or earlier ?) torn down for a thorough overhaul. That's proprietor Raliegh Albright on the left, he and his helper look very young ! Kids up to speed with the newest methods. I hope those whippersnappers know what they're about !

Their butt must not be cold...they're not in front of the coal stove!

We can almost wall into these old garage photos. There is so much to puzzle over. I want the second car to be a Buick.
Thanks for the fun of seeing this.

Re: Fix your car, Mister ?
What a great photo especially of that Parlor Stove. 23 plus years ago while out and about I came across a very similar stove a Florence Model 53 that I was able to talk the owner into selling. At almost 6’ tall and weighing about as much asa Model T it has been waiting to be restored until now. I am in the process of disassembly and totally restoring this beast. Then it will sit on a brick hearth and spend it’s time in the Model T building on display. This photo has really got me pumped to finish it and enjoy it. Thanks for sharing it.

Larry, I hope you'll post some photos of your stove restoration in the "Off Topic" thread. Maybe others will join in too ! I restored a Great Western parlor stove back in '84. It's been keeping us warm every winter since !

I guess the car got him around to his patients a little faster in later years.
The Gritman Medical Center is still thriving and gave it's first Pfizer Covid-19 Vaccine shot 12/19/2020.
Can't find much on Raliegh Albright or his helper except for this:

Re: Fix your car, Mister ?
That's great, Rich ! Thanks for adding to the story. I've been finding lots of interesting things on an Idaho history forum, this was one. The ad for Studebaker (and Doc Grisman's car) make me think the photo I posted is earlier than 1915. It's fun to speculate.

Continuing with speculation and their youthful appearance, in a scant two years there would be the Selective Service Draft for World War I.
Maybe there are Draft Notices or even Enlistment Notices for Raleigh and his helper!

Re: Fix your car, Mister ?
As far as WWI was concerned, I did find this notice concerning hour restrictions which mentioned Moscow and the Albright Garage.

It adds some perspective of that time.Rich
