Panels all installed and a quick coat of primer. Trim and a 'bolt and nut patrol' to do then off for a compliance check for registration. So far I have the paper work sorted as well (which went very smoothly - but then our system sounds simpler than in the US).
Doors, windscreen, top and proper upholstery and proper paint in the 'next stages' of the plan.
She runs well too:

Today I finished my mag coil ring. It took months because I worked on it in spurts between other chores.
It's the first one of these I've ever done.
When I zapped it with twelve volts — WHAP! It grabbed that hacksaw blade like nobody's business, so I am a happy camper. It's not as pretty as some I've seen, but as long as it works I don't care if it's ugly as a mud fence.
The details are not all factory correct, but they're what was available, and it works.

Looking great Steve.
See you did a magnet test. Did you do a polarity test too?
The polarity test (N-S;N-S; ... 16 times) will tell you for 95% if your loop will work or not.
the 5% left has to do with the connections in the car and the way the magnets are charged. (weak -strong?)
Good luck

I'll restart the fight over using Sta-Bil or not...I bet if this person used it in the fuel for layup it wouldnt be this way. Mine never are. And the '94 quit having annual spring issues once I started laying it up with Sta-Bil.

This TT had been sitting in a shed untouched for 26 years - Gramps passed that long ago - believe it or not, I had it running in a couple hours WITH that carburetor - I even drove it in the fellow's parking lot !
Side note - all my "clear" gas gets Sta-Bil !

Yes, I did. N, S, N, S, N, S, etc.
This picture is also a warning against stupid hand cranking.

When I got my '23 touring I found a similar situation. The car ran, but the carb leaked, so I opened it up and found a sight much like that. The leak was because of holes rusted through the bowl. The guys who "restored" the car did a fair job on the body, but ignored the mechanics.

Hey Timmy, 94 octane non ethanol gas is available at Mickey Mart on rt250 not far from you. I keep it in everything old here now, and rest easy. It’s nice to have the racetrack close by, so they keep it there for those boys and girls. It’s like $3.50-4.00 a gallon, but worth every penny, IMHO. ESPECIALLY WITH NEW GAS TANKS NO LONGER AVAILABLE

I'm just glad it tested OK.
Vern, you may have to clean out the passages.

Well I have been having withdraw symptoms lately. Mud and rain was the weather this winter since I installed the RM brakes. Needing to do final adjustments it needed to be driven. Well I didnt do any adjustments, just checking for heat in rear drums and sevice brake and E brake. At 10 degrees there was no heat in RM bands so I took a little drive. I can adjust RM's when I have more traction and a little warmer conditions.
I think I may see some side curtians and manifold heater in my future.

Not mine but the same TT that carburetor overhauled - this old truck was "rode hard & put away wet" ! Haven't got the rear wheels off yet - next task.

Looks like Dallas has been driving up and down that field all day testing out those brakes. Surprised he isn't working on acceleration for his truck in case the Bishop shows up.

The Bishop isn't a member of our club I think. He is just practicing knowing there is another snow coming to hide the evidence.

Well truth is, church was next door this morning. I was just sizing up the competition of about 40 buggies parked there. Juice brakes, propane heaters and closed cabs. Looks like some real runners in the field to.

Thot the TT was the race truck? Or is there a new "sleeper" race truck being introduced???? Looks like clandestine info gathering going on! Checking to see which horses have the ice spikes on their shoes for better traction? Tire chains for the truck? Enquiring minds want to know!!! Updates at eleven?

Gee, I actually accomplished something today. As the fleeting years bring increasing feebleness, I resort more and more to machinery in place of muscle.
The new piece of equipment I finished today is a magneto/flywheel/transmission lifter. It should ease the chore of getting the right magneto gap.

Woo hoo I registered (titled) and had the Colonial roadster legally tagged and put on the road today.
5 mins into our first run I blew up the muffler (see Luke's post on the subject). And you should have seen the cows run!
Many thanks to Luke and Chris for their help all hours of day and night to get the car on the road. Friends are great

We finished cutting, priming and painting replacement
wood for rear windshield and right stationary window on the '26 coupe.
Tacked 1-1/8" x 3/16" x 19-3/4"
felt to rear window wood uprights.
Installed six corner window
brackets (two made from stainless steel).
Mounted said wood for three rear windows with stainless, slot drive, flat head, #12 x 1" countersunk, wood screws after pre-drilling holes.
Mounted B-pillar to side window wood with stainless, slot drive, round head, #12 x 1-1/2" wood screws after pre-drilling holes.
Tacked wood to brackets and flanges with about fifty stainless #17 x 7/8"
brads/nails.
Welded

two brackets (made from scrap two years ago) at sub-frame and screwed top of each bracket to lower wood on side windows.

Worked on seat back brackets, mounting crosspiece to two stands to hold in place while welding

(from three brackets that were made from scrap two years ago).
Extracted two broken Henry steel #10 UNF machine screws from the B-pillar with the
fire tool.

I pulled the cylinder head off the 26 Coupe to investigate why #3 cylinder was weak and found a burnt exhaust valve. After further inspection of other components I determined that it is time for a complete rebuild!!

I think it hit 60 degrees today. I took the RPU and put it to work. Returning a concrete saw to a buddy. Nice drive without 4 layers of cloths.
