That article isnât new, itâs been around quite a while. Itâs just âclick baitâ to get you to look at advertisements.
The author of that article is ignorant in regards to its subject matter. He obviously doesnât understand the HUGE DIFFERENCE between advertised price and/or âbig talkersâ at car shows versus what the vehicles actually sell for!

An authentic 1915 Touring that is in "good" condition and is mostly original is worth around $17,500.00
A 1912 version of the above is worth a bit over $20,000.00
A well put together Model T Speedster is worth somewhere between $10,000.00 and $15,000.00 with more value added for expensive upgrades like a full complement of brass lights, Buffalo wheels, and/or a racing head.
Tour ready Model Ts from the 1920s can be found for less than $10,000.00 up to twice that price for an excellent example.
Of course, there are rare totally original pristine cars who's value rise well above all these but these need not be included in a general assessment of "what Model Ts are worth these days".

The first "TT" pictured isn't. It's a T. The parts salad that follows it may actually be on a TT chassis, judging by the rear wheel. This is typical of what happens when reporters write about an unfamiliar subject.

So much depends on which Model T? The condition of the T? Sentimental value?
Actually, a Model T is worth to the buyer, what he is willing to pay, and to the seller what he is willing to take for it. Usually a good looking and good running car will cost less than the parts and labor to restore one. However, for some hobbiests, the fun is in the restoration, and others driving, and still others showing.
So it all boils down to the first three questions. For a newbie, it would be a good idea to bring a seasoned hobbiest along to look at cars for sale to help decide on which one to buy and what is good and bad about each one.

an idea for the writer to produce 500 words on. The writer doesn't know
jack squat about the subject, but does some scratching around and puts
together the requested 500 words, just getting "kinda close" to the factual
details that years of study and actual experience would get you. And then
people read it and suck it up as definitive reading.
