Has anyone had any experience with the Rajo self steering spindles. Have you drove a car with them what do you think.

Are those marked Rajo? Dan

I heard they're terrible and horrible, a menace to society, for safety's sake you should let me take them off your hands...

Seem like they'd work... tho backing up might be tricky...

They are great make cornering easy ....A joy to drive

The reason I asked if they were marked is I have only seen one set marked Rajo of the 12 sets I have had. Dan

So how well do they work? I assume they are a bit marginal in reverse? I ask because I am considering making another set of spindles that will accommodate front brakes. The last set I made I tilted the kingpins in 9 degrees like the model A-V8 and they work very nice, but of course they require axle modifications and ball type tie rod ends

Mospico is the other brand. I’ve seen several of those. I believe it was a forging company in Detroit.

Plain English, they work as well as having extreme castor (lay back) on the front axle. Lousy or slow going in reverse, harder to steer on wyndy mountain roads but superb on the open road or (I know this doesn't pertain to you) on the race track. The car never wanders, wants to track straight.

Thats kind of what I was thinking... Modern roads, gran prix racetracks, or anywhere where pulling the car str8 ahead, it would be awesome... If you had something like the Brickyard or Daytona where you have a constant pull to the left, maybe not so much so... but when I made my (not quite so facetious) offer, I was thinking of running a car on our currently straight or freeway-centric roads...

So I need to know, Ed... You used to be known as "AKA #4"... now it's "AKA Ed"... you'll FOREVER known as the pilot of that daemon of the Calistoga Oval that piloted the Yellow Jacket... Please tell me you have not given up on #4 - for a LOT of us (spcially us young'uns) you will ALWAYS be known as the Rajo Rockstar... Someone to show us a direction to aspire greatness to (even if it's the greatness of Murray Fahenstock and Arthur Chevrolet! --lol--)

Thanks Suzanne, I don"t know how to respond to that. I'll never be able to fill those big shoes..... but will never stop trying. Old Yellow no. 4 is a big part of my life and will be until I'm pushin' up daisies. Memories of Calistoga.......Your Dad was the greatest!!! Sure miss him, and that track was rough (the surface). But loads of fun and wonderful memories.
