26/27 Roadster Questions

Post by dmdeaton » Sun Feb 07, 2021 7:23 pm

I am building my roadster parts pickup truck and need some dimensions. The subframe rails on my body are chopped off after the first crossmember behind the seat. If anyone has one without a trunk or bed bolted on, could you get me some measurements? I only need the total length of the rails. I assume from some pics I looked at, there is another crossmember at the rear after the rear frame crossmember? I am going to make some rails on the brake and weld them in, but need a pic and the measurement. Thanks in advance

Attached are some photos I took of my roadster body mounted to the frame. The body is green so you can see the difference in the body and the black frame. The distance from the rear crossmember and the rear of the body frame is 16 1/2 inches. When you extend your body frame you need to narrow it down as shown in the photo so that the fender is positioned correctly.
