What’s the best way to cut down a read end spider to fit a Ruckstell rearend? Grind it down or hack saw. Or?
Thanks
Tom

I've always ground them. They are hard. Don't know if a hack saw would work

Cutoff wheel or grind, but keep it cool so you don't draw the hardness out of it. If it gets blue, its too hot.

Put it in the carrier and use a flap disk on an angle grinder 15 minute job tops.
Having it in the carrier keeps it from overheating and gives the arms the correct length.

Thanks all for the tips. Like Stan’s tip on keeping it the carrier so it stays cool.
