Cannot find any pics and can’t go anywhere to look. Which side of the firewall is it attached? It is so low I cannot imagine it goes behind the head on the engine side?

Center low on the cowl panel, inside compartment, you will find two small holes punched there for the rivets to secure the patent plate.

Not commonly known, the same patent plate is used in 1925 on the inside right side of firewall. It is held on by two cowl lacing rivets.

All the later original patent plates are held with 'drive screws' or else a type of std. rivet.
Have not seen 'tangs' of a split cowl type lacing rivet against the engine side of the firewall. Here are some originals, 1924, 1925 and 1926, all use the same rivet with a blunt flatten or slightly rounded rivet end, never split rivet tangs folded into the metal firewall.

David Wilson. The Canadian patent plate is available from upholsteries by Dixie, Kitchener, Ontario. Email

They sell Model A & T parts. Good people to deal with. If you Google it , they have a website.
