26/27 body to frame bolts

Rear wood spacer block has no through hole for the frame bolt. Looks to only wedge beside the bolt and clamp in place. Why is this. As much as the frame flexes I would think it could work it’s way out

I could be dead wrong as this pick looks like its through the bloc. The blocks came with no holes drilled in only the two rears

As I recall from my origional body blocks, there was not a "hole" but rather the block was rabbeted for the bolt clearance. The bolt thru the rabbet also keeps the block in place once installed.

You are right, the block kit came with 2 sets of rear blocks. I set with a rabbit and 1 set without and only a chamfer cut on on edge I assume to lay against the bend in the frame rail. The pic above is from a car I crawled under and took the pic. I didnt look close at it but it may have the rabbit. That makes sense. That is why I ask and thanks.
