Pickup Bed Installation

Post by Duckwing » Thu Feb 25, 2021 10:47 am

Guess I should have trial fit my 1926 pickup bed before I restored it. None the less, I am now having installation issues. It appears that on the drivers side, the filler panel is contacting the roadster body and preventing it from moving forward enough for the three mounting holes on the body frame to line up. It lacks about a 1/4 inch aligning. As far as I know the filler panels are original as the rivets look original. Very perplexing. I'm to old for this. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I took a look at the bed that was on the roadster when I bought it in 1955. Looks like the previous owner experienced the same problem and made a adjustment.
